New Community Health Trust in Norfolk
From 1st April 2026 there is a new Community Health Trust in Norfolk: East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust (EEC).
13th April, 2026
The new Trust brings together Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (CCS) and Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C). EEC is looking forward to continue working with you to improve health and wellbeing for the people of Norfolk and Waveney. Together, there is a real opportunity to create healthier, happier communities. Merging CCS and NCHC gives EEC the opportunity to deliver even greater impact: improving population health, strengthening patient care, and ensuring our services meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve.
EEC’s ethos - putting people first, acting with compassion, and working collaboratively - will continue to underpin everything we do. To support the local priorities of Integrated Care Boards and Local Authorities and the ambitions of the national 10-year health plan, EEC begins life as a new Trust with a new clinical and care strategy.
EEC will focus on four key areas of need within our communities—areas where they can make a significant difference with Norfolk residents and partners:
- Best start in life
- Support for children and young people with complex needs
- Neighbourhood care
- Unscheduled care
EEC will remain unwavering in their commitment to local, community-focused care and local senior leadership to work with Norfolk leaders and teams. The Trust knows that it achieve the most when it works closely with Norfolk partners and tailors its approach to local priorities. EEC very much looks forward to continuing to working in collaboration with partners to make a positive and lasting difference for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.
